COVID-19 UPDATE

August 12, 2020

We will finish out the season with a reservation system, limiting members to one sign up per week, with an additional spot based on availability. Please see our hours below under "Contact Us"

Temperature is taken at the time of check in and Masks are still required during check in , when purchasing items from the snack shack or using the restroom.

All safety precautions and guidelines described in previous posts are still being implemented. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the park manager, Tessa Best, by emailing titusparkswimtennis@gmial.com

June 26, 2020

The state and county have given pools the go ahead to open with restrictions beginning June 12th. We still have to limit the number of people coming to Titus so we will  use a reservation system for members only.

  • Reservations are for members only, no guests will be allowed at this time.
  • The limit for sign ups is 3 times a week. Each following week will be posted every Tuesday for as long as reservations are needed.
  • If there are no reservations made for the last slot of a day, we will close at 4:30 (after double checking the reservation list)
  • If you are only coming for Lap Swim, please call the park ahead of time (before 4:30 please) to let us know you are coming, if you are only coming for lap swim and we have room, you do not need reservation spot. Lap swim will be at 11:30 and 5:30,for a half hour each.
  • Lounge Chairs and tables with chairs are already grouped and spaced. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE ANY OF THESE CHAIRS, we have measured and spaced them according to the CDC guidelines.
  • If your child is not potty trained or has a tendency to have accidents, they must wear a reusable swim diaper. You can purchase them from Target, Amazon or our snack shack, though our sizes and colors are limited, we advise you to purchase your own beforehand. If your child is not wearing one, they will not be allowed in the pool. We ask this as a curtiousty to your fellow members. If there is an accident, we have to close the pool down, possibly for 24 hours. With the limited time we have right now, we want to give everyone as much time as possible.
  • We will not have our bucket of toys & goggles, tennis rackets or basketballs out.  Please bring your own toys to play with for the water, basketball court and side grass yard.
  • For the time being, we will only accept credit cards. We ask that you purchase your snack cards and then shop the snack shack from the snack shack cards to minimize back and forth.
  • Masks are advised but not required while outside on the pool deck, but must be worn when coming to the snack shack or going into the restroom.

May 29, 2020

When Titus is able to open, things will be slightly different, but we will work to keep the park as much the same great place that we all know and love. All while keeping you , your families and our employees safe.

Following the CDC Guidelines updated May 27, 2020:

  • Titus will operate at 25% occupancy, we will be setting up a reservation system so that you and your family can select a 3 hour block of time to come to the park. To help serve our members better, and allow all of you to visit your happy place, we will have a no guest policy during this time.
  • We will be implementing a health screening daily for each employee, including taking their temperature at the beginning of their shift.
  • Chairs will be grouped in “family” sets and spread 6 feet apart from other family groups.
  • Social Distance markers will be on the ground for areas like the snack shack, sign in counter and the guard stands, please help us by teaching your family what the markers mean.
  • Handrails for stairs, diving board, ladders and all surfaces will be wiped down every half hour and tables, chairs & lounge chairs will be wiped down after each family leaves the park.
  • We will have hand sanitizing stations placed throughout the park.
  • We will be removing the ping pong table as well as the shared toy bucket and basket balls.  You are welcome to bring your own for you and your family to use.  Please make sure to mark all your toys.
  • The snack shack will be open, and masks will be worn. The biggest change in the snack shack is we will no longer be accepting cash.  Snack Shack cards can be purchased by credit card or check.
  • If your child is not yet potty trained or has issues with bowel movements, a reusable swim diaper is required and your child will not be allowed into either pool without it. No exceptions.  We will have a limited quantity for sale in various sizes for sale at the snack shack, but I would suggest you purchase a few to have on hand in case we don’t have the right size. Reusable swim diapers can also be purchased at Target, Amazon and other retailers.
  • Swim lessons and Titus Camp will be suspended until further notice.
  • Singles tennis is now allowed. You must either be all from the same household or only play singles and not share any equipment, including tennis balls (we suggest you mark all your tennis balls and only pick up your own)
  • Once Titus is open, during this phase of limited capacity, we will operate from 10AM - 8PM!! We hope this will help facilitate everyone’s schedules!

Again, we don’t have a set date yet, but I wanted to give you an idea of what the future of Titus looks like! I will keep you posted as soon as we have more information!  Thank you for your continued patience.

Titus Park is one of the few pools in the area to use a salt system for water sanitation. This system reduces or eliminates the need for added chlorine. It’s much easier on the eyes, skin, and even on swimsuits!
